1800 Avenue at Port Imperial

This is a 500,000 sf, 282 condominium development occupying two blocks across the river from Manhattan whose client wished to create a unique experience and identity for the project. The massing concept is a series of “pods” and “connectors”; the exterior design emphasized and amplified the views and waterfront location by borrowing from nautical themes and making rounded open corners a showcase feature; the interiors layered a material richness with the curves of the building.

The two blocks are connected at the base by a publicly accessible entrance pavilion that serves as a year-round landscaped passageway between the city-side and the water-side of the two blocks, as well as a vestibule for the residents before entering the respective building lobbies.

I was the BIM lead and enclosure lead on the project. I was responsible for leading a team in developing, coordinating, and documenting the enclosure. In addition, I led consultant coordination with structural and MEP consultants.
