1800 Avenue at Port Imperial

This is a 500,000 sf, 282-unit condominium development occupying two blocks across the river from Manhattan. The client wished to create a unique experience throughout the design process. The proposed massing is a series of pods and connectors. The exterior design focused and amplified the views and waterfront location by borrowing from nautical themes and making rounded open corners a showcase feature.

The two blocks are connected at the base by a publicly accessible entrance pavilion that serves as a year-round landscaped passageway between the city-side and the water-side of the two blocks, as well as a vestibule for the residents before entering the building lobbies.

My responsibilities on the project included leading the design development and coordination of the enclosure, the superstructure, and consultant coordination.
